Founded in 1992 as John Kerridge Architect, we have developed a history of successful residential and commercial projects throughout Michigan. As an architectural service company, we provided a full range of services: Architecture, Programming, Feasibility Studies, Project Management, Facilities Management, Space Planning, Medical Planning and ADA Consulting.
In 2002 Kerridge Construction, Inc. was founded to provide design build construction services throughout northern Michigan. Owner John Kerridge believes architects are in a unique position to lead the building process “As an architect, generally you create the design and someone else builds the project. I wanted a firm of architects who also build. It creates a great value to both the project and the client." This is the tradition of the Master Builder who controlled all aspects of the project from design through construction. It was only in the past 100 years that design was separated from the building process. This coordination of services simplifies the building process and promotes a team approach. It improves accountability, communication, cost efficiency, schedule control and results in a design that is responsive to these needs.
At Kerridge Architecture + Construction, we continue to focus on the architecture driven construction process. Whether it's a professional medical facility, or a fine custom home, we can integrate architectural services and construction expertise to provide you with a well designed and quality constructed project.
